Our Day Care is Committed to Helping Families!
The Learning Tree daycare center was established in 1973. In 1988, it was bought and incorporated by Karen Logan. Today, it remains a locally owned and operated daycare facility committed to helping families and young children learn and grow.

Look at all of the fun and amazing things we do and learn at The Learning Tree!
There are so many great benefits to our daycare centers! We have both outdoor and indoor playgrounds, so your child can have fun and exercise even when the weather is not cooperating with outdoor play. Our centers also offer large classrooms with small class sizes, giving children plenty of room to learn, play and grow in a home like environment!
The Learning Tree has so much to offer to local families. (As a multicultural center, we even teach beginning Spanish!) We also have a kindergarten readiness guarantee; we fully prepare your child for the world of elementary school and beyond while they are in our care. We do this through the use of the Reggio curriculum, character education, and by instilling a love and knowledge of nature. We also follow the Illinois Early Learning Standards.
Our Philosophy: A child’s work is play. Through play children develop coordination, verbalization, thoughts and expressions, establish friendships, become creative and feel a sense of self esteem. Our program hopes to encourage discovery, exploration, and the love of learning in children. The individuality of each child is important to us. We hope to provide an enriching environment where children grow in a caring, safe, stimulating and fun atmosphere. The child care center has been exploring the Reggio Emilia Approach where we respect the child and feel he/she is capable and ready to learn and socialize.
Our Mission: To provide an environment for children and their families that is safe, enriched, and empowered. To provide opportunities to build self-esteem, enhance strength, stimulate creativity, and promote self sufficiency. Together both child and teacher shape the child’s future.
“Properly nurtured, mighty oaks from acorns grow”
